Translations of Chronicles of the Kingdom

When I was planning Chronicles of the Kingdom (or Chronos as I was calling it then) back in 2019, I created an excel spreadsheet with a list Bible of events that I was curating for the game. This spreadsheet has since expanded and multiplied into a full database for the game. It has been invaluable in creating mailmerges for the cards, allowing me to rapidly iterate and create new prototypes in different styles and designs.

But one other thing it enables is a simple mechanism for creating new versions of the game in different languages!

I have had enquiries about translating the game into other languages, and with the help of some AI I have created prototypes for German and Korean versions of the game. My friend in Germany will be testing out the German prototype this week with his youth group, and I'll report back on how it went.

I am keen to see this resource get into the hands of as many Christians around the world as possible, so I will be offering a special reward tier on the Kickstarter to 'Fund a Translation'. This will allow people or organisations to sponsor a translation into a language accessible to the people they are ministering to.

Funding a translation will cover the costs for professional translation (rather than relying on my AI prototyping), a full print run of the game in the chosen language, and 200 copies of the game shipped to the location of choice. The translated game boxes will also credit the sponsor as official partners and funders of the translation.
